Biography
She began her singing studies at the age of 13 under the tutelage of soprano Amelia Barquero. In 2019, she began her university studies in the Bachillerato of Music with an Emphasis on Singing Performance and Teaching at the National University of Costa Rica under the tutelage of bass-baritone Fulvio Villalobos, a degree from which she graduated in 2022.
He has participated in the Sewanee Opera Intensive (2021), Santa Ana International Baroque Music Festival (2021), and the International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia (2023).
He has received master classes from various
specialists in the area such as Yoko Shimazaki, Lisette Oropesa, Tomás Castellanos, Íride
Martinez, Danielle Orlando among others.
In 2023, she won the Young Soloists Competition of the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica and made her debut at the Melico Salazar Theater.
She has performed the roles of Constancica in Jacinto Guerrero's Zarzuela El Huésped del Sevillano, Adina in Gaetano Donizetti's opera L'Elisir d'Amore, Lucy England in Giancarlo Menotti's opera The Telephone and Knabe 1 in WA Mozart's Die Zauberflöte.
She has sung as a soloist with the Heredia Concert Band, the UNA Symphony Orchestra, the Tzintzuni Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra. She is currently in her second year of Licenciatura of Music with emphasis on Singing Performance and Teaching at the National University of Costa Rica, under the tutelage of soprano MM Sofía Corrales.
